Changes in Filming

Originally, we planned to film a 'house party' scene but due to safety reasons and using expensive equipment in a party environment, it was suggested by our teachers to look for alternative options as it was not the best idea. Our teachers did suggest several options:

a) [use outside equipment] - this means use our own camera, tripod, fig rig etc, instead of using college property. If any equipment was to get damaged, it would be at our own risk as it is our own property.

b) [cancel this location] - this means that we find an alternative to filming a party, something much safer and appropriate so that the college will not mind us using their equipment for our work.

c) [create a fake party] - this means that we would have to ask people to pretend they're in a party environment so that they are aware of the equipment and it is much safer. Only include a few people as we don't want it to get crowded and chaotic.

As a result, we opted to cancel the location and film whole new one. We chose 'Allen Gardens' as it relatively close to Brick Lane; only a short walk which means no time is wasted on transportation.
Other than that, everything seems to be going to plan and we filmed quicker than we thought we would with multiple base tracks and added landscape shots to add to our video particularly in the instrumental when our artist does not sing.
The most of Allen Gardens is fairly plain and simple which is effective and is different to our grafitti shots as the greenery will allows Jaya's hair and costume to stand out more.
Also, it wasn't too crowded and no one interrupted with our filming by looking directly at the camera lense when passing by or standing in the middle or in the way of our shots.
It made our video look very natural.
I think this is because around the Brick Lane area a lot of filming takes place so the public
are used to it and respect the production teams work.
