Andrew Goodwin saw the purpose of music videos to be for 'visual
pleasure'.
His theory links to most music videos because the audience enjoy the atmosphere and energy of the music video. This means it becomes memorable and makes you want to listen
to the song more. Also, the repetition of the lyrics and scenes in videos and uniqueness make the video significant and somewhat embed it into the audiences minds. Particularly if the video is exaggerated and abnormal, the audience will talk about it more truly fulfilling its promotional purpose.
